GIRLS PROGRAM

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission at Del Mar is to develop and train athletes to compete and play water polo at a high level and set the national standard. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are committed to offering community services and programs beyond age group water polo, including private lessons, camps, clinics, and other community-based initiatives.

We believe in creating not just elite athletes, but elite culture and character in every member, athlete, and staff member of Del Mar Water Polo Club.

COACHES TO BE ANNOUNCED POST JUNIOR OLYMPICS!

At this moment in time we are in conversation with multiple coaches about potentially joining our girls programs. With respect to privacy we will not be disclosing all of our coaches till after Junior Olympics closer to the start date. In addition if you are a local coach or have interest in joining Del Mar's New Girls Program please contact Club Director Nick Alexander for further consideration...

SPLASHBALL
12 Weeks of Practices!
PRICE: $400

Intended for athletes ages 6-10 years old. This is an introductory program designed to teach stroke and water polo fundamentals. Building off of water saftey concepts.

NORTH COUNTY SPLASHBALL:
Only 2 Days a Week...

Choose which two days after swim assessment, goals to keep ratio 1:6 for instruction.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

PACIFIC SOUTHWEST ZONE
Del Mar Water Polo Club aims to develop competitive teams at every level. Our first teams target top-3 finishes in the Pacific Southwest Zone.

While our second teams work toward top-5 placements in the county. This commitment reflects our focus on excellence, player development, and building a strong competitive culture.
FUTURES WPL
Del Mar WPC sends all Blue teams to Futures WPL with a goal for our first teams to finish in the top 10.

We aim to eventually enroll all White teams in Futures, with a target for our second teams to finish in the top 20. It will take time for us to enroll our White Teams.
SPA LEAGUE
Del Mar will participate in SPA League hosted in Irvine, CA. To develop our White team athletes and support their growth goals.

It's an excellent opportunity for players to showcase their skills and advance as competitors.

USAWP ODP & COLLEGE RECRUITING

ENCOURAGE ENROLLMENT IN ODP
Del Mar Water Polo Club encourages families to consider enrolling in the USAWP Olympic Development Program (ODP). This program exposes athletes to higher levels of competition while building lasting relationships and networks throughout their water polo journey.
COLLEGE RECRUITMENT PREP
Del Mar is committed to helping athletes pursue NCAA-level play with the tools and resources they need. We offer seminars on approaching and communicating with collegiate coaches, plus guidance on using film and social media to build your recruiting profile.
